Oh the good was wonderful the crab raviolis and artichoke heart fritters were to die for. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and just melted in your mouth.

I came to Gabriel's this past Valentines with my partner, and it was such a great experience. The service was really nice, the server was very charming (I wish I could remember his name ), and he checked on us the perfect amount. Not too often, not too infrequently. And when we finished dinner, we didn't feel rushed to leave at all. We were allowed to sit and enjoy the rest of our wine. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. The lighting was soft and warm toned, making it feel very comfortable and intimate. The tables were arranged so that the ceiling lights wouldn't be directly above your head, but in the spaces between tables. Loved that. Their menu features tons of local seafood. One of the appetizers we had was steamed Manila clams in a garlic butter wine sauce with cherry tomatoes. Delicious umami sauce with the fresh lemon and cherry tomatoes, it was very bright and refreshing. Perfect for a starter. The other appetizer we got was fried polenta with mushrooms; my partner said it was some of the best polenta he's had. The side Caesar salad was good, I thought it was the perfect amount of dressing and cheese. The only thing with the food that I was disappointed in was the seasonal vegetables served with my entrée. It was lightly battered black cod served with Jasmine rice and the said seasonal vegetables. I usually love seeing seasonal veggies on the menu, so I was looking forward to that aspect of the meal. The disappointment came from the fact that my plate had a generous portion of roasted carrots and one single brussels sprout. The carrots were very tasty and well cooked, I'm just a bit sad I didn't get more variety, at least a couple more brussels sprouts. I understand that our reservation was closer to the end of when they were seating people (it was 8:30, they stopped seating at 9), so I get that they may have just been running low on their veggies at that point. That's the only thing that I can say that's not positive, though. The picture here was my entrée that I talk about. My partner has no complaints about the pasta dish he ordered, Frutti de Mare, aka fruit of the sea. It featured prawns, cod, and little mini shrimps. He actually made himself eat it all in one sitting because it was so good. I had leftovers, and the staff boxed my food for me. The wine selection was good, we thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of a New Zealand Sauvinon Blanc called Sea Cove that pared excellently with the seafood dishes. Highly recommend if you love seafood and want a fine dining experience to celebrate a special occasion.

Lovely anniversary dinner @ Gabriel’s tonight in Eureka! We got fried artichokes for our appetizer which were absolutely delicious - served with a side of crème fraiche. My husband got the New York steak and I got the fettuccine alfredo. Oh and can’t forget the crème brûlée for dessert Cocktails were soo good and very generous with the alcohol The service was top notch as well. We had a very lovely server - 10/10 highly recommend for a celebratory night out!

Crab night was wonderful! All four in our party enjoyed every bite and the friendly service. Can't pick a favorite dish.

If I could give them a 6 star review I would! They were shirt staffed for thr evening and yet they were organized and worked their little hearts out taking care of everyone as quickly and professionally as they could, with a smile on their faces! We were upstairs eating area and Leo and Haniel were quickly running around taking orders, pouring drinks and serving food. It was quite warm and asked if they could prop open the door to catch the breeze outside and they gladly did for a bit. They both were very pleasant and accommodated service requests as if they had full staff service. Was amazing to see them kicking out top notch service with a smile on their faces. Will return again for great food, good prices and a lovely little corner in Old Town Eureka

Very cozy and mellow atmosphere. Restrooms are upstairs, old building is refurbished and very quaint. Service was super friendly and helpful. Small plates were great, all pasta and ravioli and everything was well plated and tasted fantastic. Creme Brule was great dessert to share!

We were recommended Gabriel's and many others by the hotel. We're certainly glad we made this choice. Leo, our waiter for the night, was a consummate professional and helped four choosy diners to get the perfect meals and wine. Not terribly busy, so we made the entertainment ourselves. All told it was a great evening, and thoroughly recommend askjng for Leo .

I had Fettuccine Frutti De Mare pan-fried cod, prawns, shrimp, mushrooms, garlic, wine & butter sauce, ate most of the generous portions of seafood at the restaurant. I couldn't eat it all & it was even better the next day! I heated in a pan instead of killing it in the microwave, the fresh pasta is to die for! The service by the owners and their beautiful family was perfect. Not only does this family know how to cook they know how to make a great cocktail!
